Austin To Boston Recording/Mastering/Rehearsal: Bio

Mark Donovan - Producer/Drummer/Engineer

Before moving to Texas, I owned a recording studio in Massachusetts for a number of years. I opened Austin to Boston Recording Studio in 1991. Below is my Bio. I am a rock drummer and have enjoyed playing in countless bands for roughly 40 years now. I logged thousands of miles in a tour bus, rental vans, station wagons, etc. Uncountable hours in the studio with 100s of bands, songwriters, Grammy winners, major label artists, garage bands, you name it, I have recorded it! It all adds up to what money cant' buy. What a recording school can't teach. Experience! What does all this have to do with running a studio? EVERYTHING! I have added some songs I have recorded and drummed on. I hope you enjoy them. Please check out my studio: Austin to Boston Recording and; Mastering on my space as well. I recently played drums, recorded and produced two new singer/songwriters CDs. Danny Austin &; Chase Cundiff. Both are great young talents, please check them out on MySpace. Some Interesting Memoirs: West coast tour 2007, as part of the band for Buddy Miles. Mike Kindred on keys, (Mike wrote "Cold Shot," the song Stevie Ray covered). Eric Lindberg on guitar/vocals, Mark Donovan, drums/vocals, Rob Jewett, bass/vocals. We met some great people along the way that I would like to thank here. Thanks to my new friend, Tony Colemen (B.B. Kings drummer for 12 years). Tony played with me for 2 shows. Great groove BRO! That was so fun! Hope I see ya in Austin soon! Also many thanks to Jimmie Hardin a great drummer, and super guy. He helped do tech work and anything he could to make the show eazy! My friend Jeff Lord Alge, sound man, light man, wedge tech guy, all around great, funny guy. If it can be done Jeff can do it. Ask about his X-rated Ralph Cramden. I was pissing myself! Thanks again to the management at the Knotty Pine. You people are just GREAT FOLKS. Will, at the Triple Door "your the best." Wanna go back to 1971 hippieville? The Caspar Inn, you rock! We love ya! Chris at the Soiled Dove, you my friend, are one of a kind in the best way! Chris does it all and does it right! If you are in Santa Barbara and wanna go to a great club, please go to SoHo. Super thanks to Crystal Bay. I won $481.00 on their 25 cent slots! Hahahah... cost me $20.00. Peace! Coach House... man, its like a big Texas road house. Thought I was home!
